Videogeet.Com is a non-commercial community project to create a dedicated, reliable and extensive archive of video material on classic Hindi films, film-songs, non-film songs and important artistes. This is purely done out of the passion to preserve the rich legacy of these wonderful genres and artistes for generations to come.
  2. The video clips used in this project are already uploaded by various people on major video portals like Youtube and are freely available to general public.
  3. The copyright of these clips belong to various companies and Videogeet.Com doesn’t lay any claim on them. If any copyright owner has any exception to using their video material on this site, please inform the webmaster through email and that material will be removed from the site within 72 hours of receiving the request.
  4. The members are hereby requested to use their real names instead of pseudonyms while registering. This will help in creating a transparent atmosphere and a real reliable net-community of passionate movie-music lovers.

  1. For Uploading The Videos:
  1. The Site is mainly to archive the classic era videos from 1930s to 1980s. Exceptional videos from latter years will also be archived.
  2. There won’t be any repetition of any video, so before uploading please search the site to know whether the clip that you want to upload is already present in the database or not.
  3. The video’s information, description and tags will be checked and changed if necessary.
  4. Most of the commonly used video formats like AVI, WMA, MPEG 2, MPEG 4 and 3GP will be accepted and automatically converted into FLV format on the site.
  5. The video file-name should be a single word without any space, hyphens, commas or inverted commas. For example the file of Lata’s Madhumati song Aaja Re Pardesi can be named as aajarepardesimadhumatilata for uploading.
  6. After uploading the file, please give a few hours for the video to appear on the site as the webmaster will be checking the video content before approving. This precaution is to specifically avoid repetition and also, posting of nasty obscene or offensive material.
  7. The webmaster reserves the right to reject or remove any video or any member found to be hampering the site’s goals and vision.
